    Guadalajara es la sede de la Iglesia pentecostal latinoamericana con más adeptos y franca expansión:

    La Luz del Mundo. En el 2016 su líder y apóstol (como se hace llamar) Samuel Joaquín falleció sucediéndolo en su dignidad de jefe de la Iglesia el quinto de sus hijos, el pastor avecindado en California Naasón. Llama la atención cómo dicho movimiento pentecostal no se disolvió a la muerte de su fundador Eusebio Joaquín, como le ocurre a muchas organizaciones religiosas cuya cohesión depende del liderazgo y carisma de su fundador. Por el contrario, de ser un movimiento religioso del tipo sectario, enclavado en el seno de una ciudad de arraigado catolicismo; que en sus orígenes tuvo que sortear la intransigencia cristera, la Luz del Mundo logró convertirse en una Iglesia de rango internacional. El estudio que presento es un primer intento por explicar cómo el hecho milagroso (por ejemplo, un sueño epifánico o profético), el liderazgo carismático y la propia doctrina que mitifica a la figura y familia del fundador son factores que han fortalecido a la Luz del Mundo. Estos tres factores, por cierto, entraron en juego en el proceso de legitimación de Naasón como sucesor de su padre al frente de esta organización religiosa.

    Guadalajara is home to the Latin American Pentecostal Church with more adepts and frank expansion: The Light of the World. In 2016 its leader and apostle (as it is called) Samuel Joaquín died happening in its dignity of head of the Church the fifth of its children, the pastor located in California Naasón. It is striking how this Pentecostal movement did not dissolve into the death of its founder Eusebio Joaquin, as it happens to many religious organizations whose cohesion depends on the leadership and charisma of its founder. On the contrary, of being a religious movement of the sectarian type, nailed in the bosom of a city of rooted Catholicism; Which in its origins had to overcome the cristera intransigencia, the Light of the World managed to become a Church of international rank. The study I present is a first attempt to explain how the miraculous event (for example, an epiphanic or prophetic dream), charismatic leadership and the doctrine that mythifies the figure and family of the founder are factors that have strengthened the Light of World. These three factors, incidentally, came into play in the process of legitimizing Naasón as his father's successor at the head of this religious organization.
