  Las instituciones de educación a distancia, brindan al estudiantado estrategias deorientación con la finalidad de hacer más eficiente su autogestión de aprendizaje ymantener la motivación, además que adquieran una conducta de estudioindependiente. A tal efecto, la UNA, a través del Subprograma Servicios al Estudiante, tiene la misión de apoyar la integración y el desempeño estudiantil en laInstitución. Es por ello que la Orientación constituye un área fundamental de estesubprograma, cuyos objetivos específicos están dirigidos a atender las políticas deingreso, permanencia y promoción de los estudiantes unistas, a quienes se lesofrecen los servicios de orientación, desde el momento que ingresan al sistema hastaque egresan del mismo. El presente artículo, tiene como propósito describir loslineamientos que esta Instancia ha definido y en consonancia con los últimos avancesdel campo de la orientación, para favorecer las condiciones que contribuyan aldesarrollo integral del estudiante.

  The distance education institutions, provide guidance to students strategies in order to streamline its self-learning and maintaining motivation, besides acquiring conduct independent study. To this end, the UNA, through the Sub Student Services, has the mission to support integration and student performance on the institution. That is why the orientation is a fundamental area of this subprogram whose objectives are aimed at meeting the admission policies, retention and promotion of unistas students who were offered counseling, from the moment they enter the system until they graduate from it.

  This article aims to describe the guidelines that defined this instance and in line with the latest developments in the field of guidance, to promote conditions that contribute to the development of the student.
