  De anima constituye la referencia fundamental de la teoría aristotélica de las facultades del alma. Su tratamiento es abstracto y Aristóteles remite a ulteriores desarrollos más precisos. El artículo estudia estas indicaciones y muestra que uno de los aportes principales de las obras biológicas de Aristóteles para complementar la exposición de De anima se centra en la consideración de las relaciones entre las facultades vegetativa y perceptiva y las facultades perceptiva y noética.

  De anima is the fundamental reference to Aristotle’s theory of the faculties of the soul. Its treatment is abstract and Aristotle refers it to further and more precise explanations. The article considers these indications and shows that one of the main contributions of Aristotle’s biological works to complement De anima centers on the consideration of the relationships between the vegetative and perceptive faculties of the soul and between the perceptive and noetic faculties
