El objetivo del presente artículo es estudiar las funciones discursivas y pragmáticas de las oraciones de relativo de aposición oracional. Entre las funciones que desempeñan, destaca la función comentario. La función de continuación de la narración y otras relacionadas con la interacción hablante/oyente están también bien representadas. No se detectan otras funciones relacionadas con las posiciones de margen derecho como la clarificación o corrección de un tópico

The aim of the paper is to study the discourse and pragmatic functions conveyed by appositive relative clauses which have sentential antecedent. Among them, the comment function is prevalent. A continuative function and other functions related with the Speaker/Hearer interaction are represented as well. On the other hand, at least in the sample, there are no occurrences of the topic correction or the topic clarification function
