Resumen de Yuxtaposición, intertextualidad y humor en los memes de la Reforma en Telecomunicaciones en México

De acuerdo con Knobel y Lankshear (2007), son tres los componentes de los memes en Internet: yuxtaposición, intertextualidad y humor. La yuxtaposición existe porque hay una sintaxis entre textos e imágenes; la intertextualidad se da cuando elementos discursivos de una cultura aparecen en los discursos de los memes y, finalmente, el humor es el que hace posible utilizarlos como un instrumento de sátira política.
Así, el objetivo de este artículo fue analizar tres memes de la Reforma en Telecomunicaciones en México, agrupados en tres categorías: los que criticaban los alcances de la reforma, los que trataban el tema del trabajo legislativo y los que mostraban una preocupación por la vigilancia y censura en Internet. A través de un tratamiento teórico de los ejes de yuxtaposición, intertextualidad y humor, se analizaron las imágenes bajo estos ejes, para explicar la forma en que los creadores de los memes construyen un significado que comunica “un estado de discrepancia cómica con respecto al orden del universo” (Berger, 1999, p. 77). After a review of the state of art about Internet memes, according to Knobel and Lankshear (2007), the components of these memes are three: juxtaposition, intertextuality and humor. The juxtaposition exists because there is a syntax between text and images; intertextuality occurs when discursive elements of a culture appear in the memes discourse, and finally, humor is who makes it possible to use them as an instrument of political satire.
Thus, the aim of this article was to analyze three memes of the Telecommunications Reform in Mexico, grouped into three empirical categories, as the result of an Internet search: 1) those that criticized the achievements of the reform, 2) those that treated the topic of the legislative work, and 3) those that showed a worry for the surveillance and censorship in Internet.
Through the application of the axes of juxtaposition, intertextuality and humor as a theoretical and methodological framework, the images were analyzed to explain the way in which the memes creators construct a meaning that communicates “a state of comic discrepancy related to the order of the universe” (Berger, 1999, p. 77).
