  • Resumen
    • Aberrations may affect the optical quality in a dramatic way. Nowadays, it is possible to perform laser corneal refractive surgery efficiently in a customized form significantly improving the visual quality. The SCHWIND AMARIS (SCHWIND eye-techsolutions, Kleinostheim, Germany) offers new algorithms for customized treatments in laser corneal refractive surgery. We report here our first clinical case with AMARIS of Corneal-Wavefront-guided correction in an aberrated eye. The postoperative uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) and best-corrected visual acuity (BSCVA) improved after the customized profile. In particular, Trefoil, Coma, and Spherical aberrations and the RootMean-Square value of the higher order aberrations RMS(HOA) have been accordingly reduced.
