In the United States, the collective bargaining agreements can create interminable rights, despite the fact that they are contingent agreements. The most recent case-law of the United States Supreme Court has affirmed this doctrine, concerning the rights about complementary social security created by a collective bargaining agreement. This American case-law is similar to the German and Italian ones on the subject, and dissimilar to that in force in France and in Spain
