Resumen de La “separació de camins” entre jueus i cristians: estat de la qüestió

La historiografia tradicional ha considerat que, des del moment mateix de la destrucció del Temple de Jerusalem, l’any 70, es pot afirmar que jueus i cristians van començar a seguir camins separats. Tanmateix, des que J. Parkes va encunyar i popularitzar l’expressió Parting of the Ways, són molts els autors que han posat en tela de judici la consideració d’aquest moment com a punt clau de la separació entre jueus i cristians, havent qui endarrereix la mateixa fins als temps del propi Constantí o, fins i tot, fins l’arribada de l’Islam, partint de la base que el judaisme d’època del Segon Temple ha de ser entès com una pluralitat, més que com una unicitat. La present contribució pretén repassar les fites i les aportacions més destacades que, fins al dia de hui, ha proporcionat el debat sobre l’anomenada “separació de camins” i quines perspectives se’ns obrin a partir de la investigació actual.

Traditional scholarship has considered that, since the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem in the year 70, we can say that Jews and Christians started to keep separated ways. However, since J. Parkes invented and popularized the term Parting of the Ways, many authors have doubted about the consideration of this event as a key moment of the separation between Jews and Christians. They usually delay this separation up to the time of Constantine or, even, to the arrival of Islam over the basis that Second Temple Judaism must be understood as a plurality, better that a unicity. This paper aims to review some of the main contributions up to this day within the debate of the so-called “parting of the ways” and to see which perspectives offer the current scholarship.
