One of the country's top lithium suppliers, Ganfeng Lithium, announced an even steeper price hike of Rmb 5,000/tonne ($788/tonne), taking its list price for lithium carbonate to Rmb 60,000/tonne ($9,455/tonne), up nearly 10% on the beginning of this year.
Domestic prices in China for 97% MgO material with a calcium:silicon (Ca:Si) ratio of 1:1 have fallen by around Rmb 130/tonne ($20/tonne) in the last week, to around Rmb 2,070-2,355/tonne ($325-370/tonne). FOB China prices for the same material currently stand at $490-510/tonne.
Prices for 97% MgO FM with 2:1 Ca:Si content were reported to be down by a smaller margin of around Rmb 95/tonne ($15/tonne) on a domestic basis to Rmb 2,400-2,575/tonne ($377-405/tonne). FOB China prices for the same grade are assessed as being $510-540/tonne, meanwhile.
