    • Iranians breathed a sigh of relief in July at the announcement that Western powers intend to lift international economic sanctions against Iran, after nearly a decade of trade bans against the country. Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani, said the "historic" deal opened a "new chapter" in Iran's relations with the world, while the country's industry minister, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, said the country was looking for "two-way trade", adding that Iran's mining sector grew by 9.8% last year.

      "We not only see the chance to sell our materials in Iran, but to make a real difference with our project management and our green products," [Erik Zobec] explained. "Here we see our competitive advantage." Heiki Miki, executive officer of overseas business for Americas and EMEO at Japan's Shinagawa Refractories Co. Ltd, concurs with Zobec.
