• The current worldwide HPA production is around 20,000 tpa and is estimated to increase to 50,000 tpa within five years. Altech's proposed plant is targeting 4,000 tpa of HPA production, which is relatively small compared to the forecast growth in HPA demand of 30,000 tpa. Altech will provide a small part of the overall anticipated HPA demand and will not upset the overall market. Unlike the established HPA producers that convert aluminium metal to HPA, Altech uses a process that directly produces HPA from the company's high quality kaolin deposit. Our resources, combined with our process, experienced team and location, will ultimately allow the company to become a major low cost international HPA producer.
