    Los edificios de configuración irregular tienden a sufrir mayor nivel de daño durante los eventos sísmicos por la respuesta dinámica adversa que se presenta debido a su irregularidad.

    De la selección de la forma del edificio va a depender su comportamiento sísmico. Los ingenieros C. Chuy y E. Neurohr afirman:” El ingeniero no puede garantizar que un edificio con una mala configuración se comporte adecuadamente. En casos severos de irregularidad el diseñador puede perder noción de la respuesta real del edificio. La buena concepción de las obras debe existir antes de cualquier análisis estructural………. Para contribuir a un buen desenvolvimiento estructural se deben tener en lo posible edificios con una forma simple y simétrica “.

    Mediante modelos reducidos de estructuras tanto regulares como irregulares se busca determinar experimentalmente la influencia que tiene el uso de 2 tipos de irregularidad en planta (1P y 2P) y dos en altura, (1A y 3A) según tipologías de la NSR-10. Los modelos se ensayan en un simulador sísmico uniaxial, con la frecuencia correspondiente al modo fundamental de vibración de cada modelo determinando los valores de aceleración y desplazamiento. El análisis comparativo de estas magnitudes irregular/regular es un indicativo de dicha influencia.

    Irregularly shaped buildings tend to have higher level of damage during seismic events by adverse dynamic response that arises due to its irregularity. From the selection of the shape of the building will depend its seismic behavior. Engineers Neurohr E. C. Chuy and say: " The engineer cannot guarantee that a building with a bad configuration behave appropriately. In severe cases of irregularity the designer can lose track of the actual response of the building.

    The good design of the works must exist before ......... any structural analysis. To contribute to a good structural development should be possible buildings with a simple and symmetrical shape. " Reduced by both regular and irregular structures seeks models experimentally determine the influence of the use of 2 types of irregularity in plan ( 1P and 2P ) and two in height, (1A and 3A) according to type of NSR -10. Models were tested in a uniaxial seismic simulator, with the frequency corresponding to the fundamental mode of vibration of each model by determining the values of acceleration and displacement. The comparative analysis of these irregular / regular magnitudes is indicative of this influence.
