  • Resumen
    • The article discusses works of Roman lyric poet Horace and his "Epistle I.2" poem about the benefits to be derived from reading author Homer, authors Willibald Pirckheimer and Joannes Calphurnius, and Venetian humanis Raphael Regius. It mentions that Pirckheimer noted that Calphurnius did a 'reading' of the lines, but he did not see fit to record its content; instead he jotted down his own little circumstantial note. It also discusses Johann's knowledge of Greek and his Latin translation.
