El despojo de tierra y de recursos naturales constituye un agravio secular a los pueblos indígenas en América Latina. Una de las manifestaciones de este despojo ha sido la creación de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (ANP) en territorios indígenas sin ningún tipo de consentimiento o consulta previa a los habitantes originarios.

The dispossession of land and natural resources is a secular afront to the indigenous people in Latin America. The creation of the Protected Natural Areas (PNA) in indigenous territories without any prior consent or consultation to the original habitants is a demonstration of this affront.
The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the situation that resulted from the non-consultative creation of the Caazapá National Park in a territory which is claimed as ancestral location by the Aché people in Paraguay. The negative consequences for indigenous people, mainly regarding the difficulties for the access to the natural resources will be described. Some actions for the recovery of territory ownership addressed by the Ache people will be also studied.
