  Se cita Hololepta (Leionota) quadridentata (Olivier 1789) (Coleoptera: Histeridae) por primera vez para la Península Ibérica y para el continente europeo, activo depredador de larvas de Scyphophorus acupunctatus Gyllenhal 1838 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), especie también introducida en la Península Ibérica, plaga de plantas agaváceas. Muy posiblemente esta especie haya sido introducida en la Península Ibérica accidentalmente en la importación de planta ornamental procedente de Mesoamérica, al igual que su presa y que la cochinilla silvestre de la palera Dactylopius opuntiae (Cockerell 1896) (Hemiptera: Dactylopiidae).

  Hololepta (Leionota) quadridentata (Olivier 1789) is firstly cited for the Iberian Peninsula and the European Continent. This species is an active predator on larvae of Scyphophorus acupunctatus Gyllenhal 1838 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), another invasive species introduced in the Iberian Peninsula and pest of Agavaceae. Possibly, this species has been accidentally introduced in the Iberian Peninsula from Central America, like its prey and the wild cochineal Dactylopius opuntiae (Cockerell 1896) (Hemiptera: Dactylopiidae).
