Resumen de Nuevas tecnologías y educación geográfica: el reto actual.

RESUMENEn este trabajo se hace referencia a la necesidad que tiene la educación actual de transformarse de acuerdo a las nuevas tecnologías, con el fin de facilitar el proceso de Enseñanza-Aprendizaje, volverlo más interesante y acorde a los intereses actuales del estudiante y a sus preferencias tecnológicas; En especial se va a tratar el tema concreto de la geografía; que ha venido posesionándose como una ciencia que busca dar respuesta a los problemas sociales y medioambientales que afectan a la sociedad moderna. De ahí que se considere indispensable el uso de herramientas como: el internet, los SIGs, que contribuyan al desarrollo integral de los estudiantes. Estas reflexiones se han llevado a cabo tomando como referencia la experiencia realizada con estudiantes del grado octavo del Colegio Alemán, donde se han aplicado diferentes actividades que demuestran que el uso de las TICs es de mucho provecho para estudiantes y profesores.

ABSTRACTThis paper refers to the need of modern education to transform according to the new technologies in order to facilitate the teaching-learning process, make it more interesting and consistent with current student interests and their technology preferences ; in particular, it will address the specific issue of geography, has been sworn in as a science that seeks to meet social and environmental problems affecting modern society. Hence it is considered indispensable by the use of tools such as the Internet, GIS, contributing to the development of students. These reflections have been carried out with reference to the experience gained with eighth grade students of the German School, where various activities have been implemented that demonstrate the use of ICTs is a boon for students and teachers.
