  • China's market leader, Sichuan Lomon Titanium Industry Co. Ltd also said it plans to up rutile prices by Chinese renminbi 500/tonne ($77.4/tonne*) and by $150/tonne for the domestic and export markets, respectively. This follows three price increases in Q1, each by Rmb 300/tonne ($46.44/tonne). Lomon additionally said that exports remained stable for its TiO[subscript]2 products. Producing 1,000 tonnes per day, the company reported January exports at 16,157 tonnes and February exports at 9,325 tonnes, at an average export price of $1,467/tonne.

    At the end of March, Cristal Global announced increases to its TiONA and Tikon TiO[subscript]2 prices of $200-330/tonne from April; ISK announced an increase to its Asia Pacific rutile prices of $150/tonne from April; Shandong Dongjia Group also said it planned to increase TiO[subscript]2 prices by Rmb 500/tonne ($77.4/tonne) and $80/tonne for the domestic and export markets beginning 31 March.
