• An adult Cory's Shearwater of the Mediterranean subspecies Calonectris dionredea diomedea was recovered on 27 August 1994 during a ringing campaign on the islet Estell Xapat, Cabrera National Park (Balearic Islands).

  The bird liad been ringed with the legend «Museo de Ciencias, Madrid, E-19637», and it was confirmed that it was 20 years old. This is the maximum known age for a bird of this subspecies in the Mediterranean.
