Resumen de Intent de nidificació del flamenc Phoenicopterus roseus al Salobrar de Campos (Mallorca) a 2006
An attempt at breeding is described for a group of some 140 flamingos at the saltpans during July and August 2006. About 20 nests were constructed but egg-laying was not confirmed.
The nesting area was abandoned in October and numbers declined steadily to just 3 individuals at the beginning of December. An analysis has also been made of other new sites where flamingos have bred, or attempted without success, in recent years within the Iberian peninsula
