Resumen de Historiografia catarinense e a escrita da história escolar de Lucas Alexandre Boiteux no início do século XX

  This article discusses the writing of Santa Catarina state history and its didactics, from the perspective of the work by Lucas Alexandre Boiteux in early 20th century. The military historian from a family of influent scholars and politicians published in 1912 the book Notas para a História Catarinense which would serve to present a representation of the Santa Catarina state “space” and its “people”. He, member of acknowledged institutions legitimated as a site of academic and historiographical production, was also commissioned to present Santa Catarina state history in schools. The 1912 book was adapted in two editions: one was financed by the state in 1920; the other by Editora Melhoramentos in 1930. This is intended to contribute with two orders of reflection: one on the relations of closeness and distance between academic writing and school-grade knowledge, and another on long-lasting traces related to the nation and their repercussion in the representation of a regional history.

  Este artigo discute a escrita de uma história catarinense e sua didatização a partir da obra de Lucas Alexandre Boiteux, no início do século XX. Pertencente a uma família de intelectuais e políticos influentes, esse historiador e militar publicou em 1912 o livro Notas para a História Catarinense, que serviria para divulgar a representação de “um espaço” e de “uma gente” catarinenses. Membro de instituições reconhecidas e legitimadas como lugar da produção historiográfica e acadêmica, ele foi credenciado também para divulgar a história catarinense nas escolas. O livro de 1912 foi adaptado e teve duas edições: uma financiada pelo Estado, em 1920, e outra pela Editora Melhoramentos, em 1930. Pretende-se contribuir para duas ordens de reflexão: uma sobre as relações de aproximação e distanciamento entre a escrita acadêmica e o saber escolar e outra sobre traços de longa duração relativos à nação e suas repercussões na representação de uma história regional.
