  Este artículo pretende realizar una revisión crítica a la teoría fundamentada, principalmente desde sus presupuestos teóricos y filosóficos. Es una crítica a lo que consideramos debilidades teóricas de esta propuesta, que confunde lo teórico con lo metodológico, hace más énfasis en los procedimental que en lo teórico y epistemológico y banaliza el concepto de teoría. Desde el punto de vista epistemológico, aunque su intención fue ubicarse dentro de los llamados “nuevos paradigmas” y responder a los enfoques cualitativos de la investigación y hay quienes lo consideran un enfoque interpretativista que pretende valorizar los significados, sin embargo, en la práctica, se percibe más cercano al positivismo y al funcionalismo, por enfatizar más en los procedimientos metodológicos y en la utilidad de los resultados obtenidos en la investigación. No creemos en teorías que emerjan directamente de la realidad de la vida cotidiana, sino de la búsqueda racional de modelos explicativos que den coherencia lógica al material empírico. Teoría inductiva acerca de un área sustantiva que no traspasa lo descriptivo y se convierten en mera transcripción de datos y entrevistas con muy poco análisis y muchos menos consiguen la supuesta generación de teorías.

  This article aims to critically review the grounded theory, mainly from its theoretical and philosophical assumptions. It is a critique of what we consider theoretical weaknesses of the proposal, which confuses the theoretical with the methodology, puts more emphasis on the procedural than in the theoretical and epistemological and trivialize the concept of theory. From the epistemological point of view, although his intention was located within the so-called "new paradigms" and respond to qualitative research approaches and there are those who consider it an interpretive approach that aims to enhance the meanings, however, in practice, closer to positivism and functionalism, to emphasize more on the methodological procedures and the usefulness of the results obtained in the research is perceived. We do not believe in theories that emerge directly from the reality of everyday life, but the rational pursuit of explanatory models that give logical consistency to empirical material. Inductive theory about a substantial area which does not pass the descriptive and become mere transcribing data and interviews with very little analysis and fewer get the supposed theory generation.
