Se describe Bergidia mariomae sp. nov. (Heteroptera: Rhyparochrominae: Ozophorini) del sur de Chile. Los ejemplares provienen de las regiones de Los Ríos y Los Lagos. Se comentan los caracteres diferenciales de esta especie con sus congéneres. Se incluye un breve comentario nomenclatural acerca de la correcta grafía del género Bergidia Breddin, 1897.

Bergidia mariomae sp. nov. (Heteroptera: Rhyparochrominae: Ozophorini) is described from southern Chile. Specimens were collected in Los Ríos and Los Lagos Regions. Differential characters between the new and other species within this genus are provided. A brief nomenclatural comment about the correct spelling of the genus Bergidia Breddin, 1897 is included.
