Resumen de La colección de quilópodos del Museo de Zoología de la Universidad de Concepción (Chile): Una visión preliminar.

  El Museo de Zoología de la Universidad de Concepción (Chile) cuenta con más de 500.000 ejemplares, representantes de un poco más de 15.000 especies de todos los grupos zoológicos. Dentro de las diversas colecciones, existe una pequeña muestra de quilópodos que contiene cerca de 400 ejemplares. Éstos no habían sido revisados hasta ahora, por lo cual se encontraban desactualizados taxonómicamente, desconociéndose la diversidad de órdenes y familias que contiene la muestra. Por lo tanto el objetivo del presente trabajo es dar a conocer la diversidad de quilópodos depositados en la colección. Los resultados muestran que, de un total de 386 individuos, 291 (75,39%) pertenecen al Orden Scolopendromorpha, 76 (19,69%) a Lithobiomorpha, 11 (2,85%) a Scutigeromorpha y 8 (2,07%) a Geophilomorpha. Scolopendromorpha está representado por las familias Cryptopidae (26,80%) y Scolopendridae (73,19%); Lithobiomorpha, por las familias Henicopidae (81,57%) y Lithobiidae (18,42%); Scutigeromorpha, por Scutigeridae (100%); y Geophilomorpha, por las familias Schendylidae (87,50%) y Oryidae (12,50%). Se destaca que probablemente sea la colección de quilópodos más grande de Chile, al albergar a todos los órdenes y la mayoría de las familias documentadas para el país.

  The Museum of Zoology of the University of Concepción (Chile) has more than 500.000 specimens, representing a little more than 15.000 species of all zoological groups. Among the various collections, there is a small sample of Chilopoda containing about 400 specimens. These had not been reviewed until now, so they were taxonomically outdated, being unknown the diversity of orders and families contained in the collection. Therefore, the main objective of the present work is to make known the diversity of orders and families of Chilopoda housed in the collection. The results show that of a total of 386 individuals, 291 (75,39%) belong to the Order Scolopendromorpha, 76 (19,69%) to Lithobiomorpha, 11 (2,85%) to Scutigeromorpha and 8 (2, 07%) to Geophilomorpha. Scolopendromorpha is represented by the families Cryptopidae (26,80%) and Scolopendridae (73,19%); Lithobiomorpha, by the families Henicopidae (81,57%) and Lithobiidae (18,42%); Scutigeromorpha, by Scutigeridae (100%); and Geophilomorpha, by the families Schendylidae (87,50%) and Oryidae (12,50%).
