Fomento de la lectura en historia contemporánea: George Orwell : 1984

    En la presente comunicación, nacida de la experiencia colectiva de un grupo deprofesores del IES El Tablero y puesta en práctica en Historia del MundoContemporáneo e Historia del Arte con alumnos de Bachillerato, aspira a daruna visión renovada de la apuesta por el fomento de la lectura. Saliendo de laestructura habitual de la lectura y evaluación de la obra del autor recomendado,hemos esbozado una práctica docente innovadora. Hemos creado una unidaddidáctica, a modo de curso en la plataforma Moodle; en este hemos incluidoinformación sobre la vida del autor, haciendo mención de su obra y una brevesinopsis de "1984"; hemos incluido noticias recientes sobre el significado de laobra, aparecidos en la prensa nacional; a partir de ahí, hemos preferido laparticipación colectiva y colaborativa del alumnado en la realización de unglosario de términos, personajes de la obra, hemos creado un wiki para eldesarrollo de las principales escritos del autor; igualmente, hemos requerido laparticipación individual del alumnado mediante la realización de determinadaspruebas en Hot Potatoes. La experiencia culmina con la realización de un testde respuesta abierta para comprobar las destrezas y el nivel de asimilación delos contenidos del libros por el alumnado, así como de una encuesta sobre lavaloración de la experiencia. De este modo, hemos tratado de inculcar nuevasformas de aproximación a la lectura, integrando las nuevas tecnologías en eldesarrollo cotidiano del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

    In the present communication, born from the collective experience of a group ofteachers of the IES El Tablero and put into practice in History of theContemporary World and History of Art with high school students, aims to give arenewed vision of the commitment to the promotion of the reading. Departingfrom the usual structure of reading and evaluating the work of therecommended author, we have outlined an innovative teaching practice. Wehave created a didactic unit, as a course on the Moodle platform; in this wehave included information about the author's life, mentioning his work and abrief synopsis of "1984"; we have included recent news about the meaning ofthe work, appeared in the national press; from there, we have preferred thecollective and collaborative participation of the students in the realization of aglossary of terms, characters of the work, we have created a wiki for thedevelopment of the main writings of the author; likewise, we have required theindividual participation of the students by carrying out certain tests in HotPotatoes. The experience culminates with the performance of an openresponse test to check the skills and level of assimilation of the contents of thebooks by the students, as well as a survey on the evaluation of the experience.In this way, we have tried to inculcate new forms of approach to reading,integrating new technologies in the daily development of the teaching-learningprocess.
