Resumen de Breve historia de las causas naturales de la enfermedad humana

  Al estudiar las causas de la enfermedad que se han planteado durante el desarrollo de la humanidad, se pueden distinguir tres grandes perspectivas: la natural, la sobrenatural y la artificial. En esta monografía se distinguen las causas naturales racionales de la enfermedad de las irracionales. Dentro de los planteamientos causales naturales y racionales de la enfermedad cabe destacar la teoría egipcia de los residuos intestinales putrefactos, o wechdu, el planteamiento humoral, el atomista, el contagioso, el celular, el molecular (genético) y el ecogenético. Con relación a los planteamientos causales de tipo irracional, esotérico y místico de la enfermedad, se mencionan el astrológico, el alquímico, el iatroquímico, el iatromecánico y otros, como la teoría de la irritabilidad, el solidismo, el brownismo y el mesmerismo.

  In the study of the causes of disease that have arisen during the development of humankind, one can distinguish three major perspectives: the natural, the supernatural, and the artificial. In this paper we distinguish the rational natural causes of disease from the irrational natural causes. Within the natural and rational causal approaches of disease, we can highlight the Egyptian theory of putrid intestinal materials called “wechdu”, the humoral theory, the atomistic theory, the contagious theory, the cellular theory, the molecular (genetic) theory, and the ecogenetic theory. Regarding the irrational, esoteric, and mystic causal approaches to disease, we highlight the astrological, the alchemical, the iatrochemical, the iatromechanical, and others (irritability, solidism, brownism, and mesmerism).
