  ste trabajo estudia las relaciones entre litera tura y fotografía en el relato “Ambros Adelwarth” ( Los emigrados ) de W. G. Sebald desde una perspectiva socio - histórica, a partir de los estudios del trauma, la memoria y la imagen, y atendiendo a la conciencia de esta combinación. Sebald, próximo a la corriente del realismo documental alemán, propone con su obra una gestión de la memoria conformada dialécticamente por el montaje de testimonio oral y escrito y de imagen fotográfica. Su uso de la imaginación supone una superación del tiempo de cada medio y cuesti ona los conceptos de identidad, re alidad y ficción.

  Sebald from a socio - historical perspective, from the studies of trauma, memory and image, and attending to the consciousness of this combination. Sebald, next to the current of German documentary realism, proposes with his work a management of the memory conformed dialectically by the assembly of oral and written testimony and of photographic image. His use of the imagination supposes a surpassing of the time of each means and questions the concepts of identity, reality and fiction.
