The development of conductive plastic that can utilise a wider range of wavelengths to capture the Sun's energy through a miniature solar panels created with an inkjet printer by Sadok Ben Dkhil and his colleagues from Dracula Technologies is discussed. The lightweight panels include a photoactive layer sandwiched between two semiconductor sheets that help as conductive ink in the outer layer to extract the charge which can integrate directly into a smarthphone.
