Evaluación de los proyectos del Instituto de Investigaciones de la Facultad de Agronomía de La Universidad del Zulia (1986-1999)

    Este artículo tiene como objetivo evaluar los proyectos del Instituto de Investigaciones Agronómicas de la Facultad de Agronomía de La Universidad del Zulia entre 1986-1999 en relación a: el financiamiento, área de investigación, ubicación geográfica y tipo de conocimiento. El estudio fue de tipo descriptivo-evaluativo, en donde se utilizaron la entrevista a los responsables de los proyectos del Instituto de Investigaciones de la Facultad de Agronomía de la Universidad del Zulia y el análisis documental (por medio del uso de un instrumento de relación de proyectos, siendo las unidades de análisis, los 104 proyectos en el periodo e instituto mencionados. Los resultados de la investigación fueron: son variadas las fuentes de financiamiento para la investigación, pero son insuficientes y de difícil acceso; predominio de la investigación agrícola vegetal y animal aplicada; la normativa de los proyectos siguen directrices de la Universidad del Zulia. Se recomienda establecer una evaluación continua de proyectos y aplicar los resultados de la investigación en el sector agrícola.

    ltural Research of the Faculty of Agronomy at the University of Zulia between 1986-1999 in regards to: financing, areas of research, geographical location and type of knowledge. The study was of the descriptive-evaluative type which used interviews of those responsible for the projects of the Research Institute of the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Zulia and documentary analysis (by means of an instrument relating the projects, using as its units of analysis the 104 projects carried out by the aforementioned institution during the aforementioned period. Results were that: sources of financing for research are varied, but they are insufficient and hard to obtain; research in vegetable agriculture and applied animal research predominate; norms for the projects follow the directives of the University of Zulia. Recommendations are to establish an ongoing evaluation of projects and to apply the results of this research in the agricultural sector.
