  • Resumen
    • A new study shows that 85% of animals had their numbers affected by living in the spotty forests. The findings will help conservationists figure out how best to protect them. Marion Pfeifer of Newcastle University in the UK and colleagues used existing population data to map the abundance of 1673 species--amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals--in 22 tropical regions in the Americas, Asia and Africa. These included threatened species such as the Sunda pangolin
