Just a few minutes in low gravity can change the brain in ways that could affect astronauts and their behavior in space. Floris Wuyts at the University of Antwerp in Belgium and his colleagues wondered how quickly brain changes occur in low gravity, so they scanned the brains of 28 people immediately before and after a parabolic flight which creates short periods of weightlessness during 3 hours in the air.
