    Vor dem Hintergrund der kulturwissenschaftlichen Diskussionen um das Konzept des Anthropozän – verstanden als paradoxe Gleichzeitigkeit von Verfügbarkeit und Abhängigkeit – lotet der Beitrag die Bedingungen einer literarischen Verarbeitung dieser aktuellen Natur-Technik-Konstellation aus. Unter Rekurs auf Poetologien des Nicht-Wissens und Positionen des Ecocriticism wird eine Annäherung an eine Poetik für das Anthropozän unternommen. Diese Poetik rechnet mit Kontrollverlust und zielt auf Grenzüberschreitung. Sie operiert in einem globalen Raum sowie einer geologischen Zeit und entwirft Figuren der berschneidung, des Übergangs und der Metamorphose.

    An extensive cultural debate has followed the adoption by the geological sciences of the concept of the anthropocene. The concept has formed the backdrop to the paradoxical modern feeling towards nature, that it is at our disposal and yet that we are dependent on it in ways we cannot control. On this basis the article explores modern literary attempts to map out the interrelation of nature and technology. The article outlines the need for a poetics of the anthropocene, which can come to terms with this paradox. Such a poetics has to operate in a global space and in geological time, and the article sketches out figurations of overlap, transition and change
