A photograph by Belgian photographer Paul Bulteel, about an old pile of garbage at recycling plant across Europe, is featured. Bulteel considered the photos of waste emanates a strange of beauty and want to thoroughly document the positive aspect of recycling. Bulteel, a retired engineer, spent over a year visiting 50 recycling centres, wherein he was surprised by the range of companies in this sector today, and the unexpected aesthetics of rubbish. Bulteel, whose photos are now on show at the Anastasia Gallery in New York City, hopes viewers will become more aware of how much they discard, and to boost recycling.
