Resumen de The Comparative City: Knowledge, Learning, Urbanism.
An article examining the philosophical aspects of comparison in urban studies is presented. The author examines the epistemological and ethnographic aspects of comparative analyses, noting the impact changes such as internationalization and postcolonialism have had on urban theory. Addressing the inherent personal psychological biases, the author explains several factors hindering objectivity in urban comparisons. The relationship between northern and southern concepts of spatial analysis and comparison are also included.
