  • Wilson discusses the reason of the sudden stop of promoting natural births over safety of all women. The UK's Royal College of Midwives (RCM) quietly cancelled a long-standing campaign to promote natural births and campaigners have formed a new pressure group called "Maternity Outcomes Matter" to ensure all healthcare staff prioritise safety over the process of childbirth. As part of RCM's natural birth campaign, its website until recently advised midwives that during births they should wait and see, by letting natural physiology take its own time and if uncertain they should trust their intuition.
