Resumen de A survey of non-linear programming

G.V. Reklaitis, D.T. Phillips

  • This paper surveys the basic computational tools which are currently available for the solution of nonlinear programming problems. The intent, however, is not to delimit the research frontiers of Nonlinear Programming theory but rather to consider techniques that have been implemented and are being used to solve practical problems. The discussion is further restricted to methods applicable to broad classes of problems and thus of interest to the generalist. It should be recognized that for specific, highly structured problems specialized techniques may exist which are considerably more efficient.
