NASA may have flagged a future area of discord for Amazon, UPS, Domino's Pizza and other firms planning delivery services using drones: people find the noise they make more annoying than that of ground vehicles, even when the sounds are at the same volume. The study's purpose was merely to prove that Langley's acoustics research facilities could contribute to NASA's wider efforts to study drones
