    • Crane explains the origin of the xenon in atmosphere has been a mystery for decades. Now, data from the Rosetta spacecraft shows 22% came from comets. These celestial bodies may also have transported ingredients for life. Earth's atmospheric xenon has more heavy isotopes than xenon found in the solar wind or meteoroids. Researchers couldn't figure out where this heavy component came from
