  • Crane explains the origin of the xenon in atmosphere has been a mystery for decades. Now, data from the Rosetta spacecraft shows 22% came from comets. These celestial bodies may also have transported ingredients for life. Earth's atmospheric xenon has more heavy isotopes than xenon found in the solar wind or meteoroids.
