    El derecho humano al agua y al saneamiento (DHAS, en adelante) fue elevado a rango constitucional en México en 2012 sin que hasta la fecha se haya detallado dentro del marco jurídico nacional; por lo que ha iniciado su vigencia sin la suficiente reflexión para definir los alcances de su aplicación en el contexto nacional. En este trabajo se analizan los requerimientos del DHAS establecidos en la normativa internacional, con base en la gestión actual de este recurso en el altiplano potosino. Los resultados permitieron identificar el estado actual del cumplimiento de este derecho en el contexto vigente de las comunidades de la región, lo que sirvió para proponer medidas correctoras para cumplir con las inobservancias manifestadas al DHAS

    The human right to water and water sanitation was promoted to constitutional rank in Mexico in 2012; nevertheless, to this day it has not been elaborated upon in the Mexican legal framework. This means that its validity started without the necessary reflection to define the implications of its implementation within the country context. In this work, it had been carried out an analysis of the requirements of the human right to water and water sanitation established in the international legal framework regarding to the current management of this resource in the altiplano region of the state of San Luis Potosí. The results allowed us to identify the current state of the legal compliance of this human right within the current context of the communities of the region, which also helped to propose corrective measures to fulfill the manifested non-compliances to the human right to water and water sanitation
