The article presents the author's opinions on the article "The Lives of Others: Body Work, the Production of Difference, and Labor Geographies" by economic geographer L. McDowell. McDowell's treatment of feminist geography, labor, and social reproduction is analyzed and information on the theory of the relationship between patriarchy and capitalism, economic geography, and labor markets is presented. Also included is the author's call for further comparative, transnational work in the field.
