    El artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación, la primera realizada en el País Vasco, sobre el nivel de conocimiento y los discursos que la población universitaria tiene respecto de las vulneraciones de Derechos Humanos de motivación política producidas en el pasado reciente de Euskadi. A través de un cuestionario a casi mil jóvenes de entre 18 y 29 años de grados universitarios de Ciencias Sociales y de la Educación de la UPV-EHU, Deusto y Mondragon Unibertsitatea y bajo un muestreo no probabilístico, el estudio muestra un alumnado con un alto interés por estos temas pero insatisfecho respecto de la información recibida. También se evidencia un significativo nivel de desconocimiento sobre hechos concretos unido a un compromiso muy alto con la dignidad humana y un nítido rechazo de la violencia.

    The present research shows the main results obtained in a study, the first to the author’s knowledge, regarding students’ knowledge and perspectives concerning infringements of Human Rights due to political reasons in the Basque Country. A sample of almost 1000 students (18-29 years) recruited from the Social Science and Education Degree of three different universities (EHU/UPV, Deusto and Mondragon Unibertsitatea) took part in the study by completing a self-report questionnaire. Findings indicate that the interest of the participants on this topic is especially remarkable. However, students also show an unsatisfied feeling regarding the information they have received about the topic. In addition, students present a lack of awareness about specific facts that go hand in hand with human dignity and rejection of violence.
