    En el present article s'analitza el planejament municipal de 52 municipis de l'illa de Mallorca.

    Aixd es fa en un doble vessant, per un costat s'estudia l'acomodament al model rank-size de les jerarquies que el planejament municipal proposa per a Mallorca, i per l'altra esposa en relació el sdl urbd amb l'urbanitzable per tal d'arribar a una classificació dels municipis mallorquins. Les conclusions assenyalen com, si bé la població actual dels municipis mallorquins adopten forma de S respecte a la recta del model rank-size, la planificació urbanística dissenya una corba cdncava respecte a /'esmentat model.

    La classificació municipal ens assabenta de la poderosa infludncia del litoral i de la proximitat a Palma per explicar el grau de desenvolupisme dels plans urbanístics municipals.

    In the present paper we analyzes the city plannig for 52 municipalities of Majorca Island. To do it we use a double way: first, we study the accuracy of the hierarchies proposed in the city planning of Majorca to the rank-size model; in the other way, we look for the relationships between urban andfuture urban areas to obtain a classification of the majorcan municipalities. Our conclusions show that the population in Majorca municipalities at this moment tubs a S shape respect the rank-size model line, but city planning foreshadow a concave cwvature related to the model. The municipalities classification shows the stronger injluence of coast limits and the nearness of Palma to obtain a explanation of the degree of development in the city plans of the municipalities.
