Las relaciones Prensa-Estado en el ecosistema digital: los casos de España y Francia

    En el presente artículo se aborda la función del Estado francés y del español en lo que respecta a sus relaciones con la prensa en el entorno digital. Para ello se observa en qué medida ambos Estados han dado respuesta a la petición de incentivos por parte de los editores.

    Se presta atención igualmente al papel que desempeñan los Estados en el entorno de los medios digitales y la importancia que otorgan al desarrollo de la prensa en Internet. Se ha podido apreciar una respuesta muy diferente por parte de ambos países a las peticiones de los editores, aunque en los dos casos el Estado ha asumido una función de mediador en el ecosistema digital con respecto a las relaciones entre la prensa y Google.

    This article deals with the function of the Spanish and French States in the context of their relations with the press within the digital environment. Accordingly, the study analyzes to what extent both States have responded to publishers’ requests for incentives.

    At the same time the States’ role in the digital media area is examined, as is the importance they give to development of the online press. A markedly different response from the two countries to said requests from publishers can be observed, although in both cases the State has assumed the role of mediator in the digital environment with respect to relations between the Press and Google.
