    Se describe en este trabajo la importancia en España del sector pesquero, y se describen las grandes transformaciones y la evolución del mismo para adaptarse a la política pesquera común, o "Política Azul", desde el1.ª de enero de 1986. Se expone también la evolución del Derecho Internacional Marítimo con la ampliación de las aguas a las 200 millas que ha originado drásticas modificaciones en la política pesquera nacional e internacional. Por último, se detalla el estado de los recursos a escala nacional y mundial y se analiza la situación del sector pesquero español en los últimos años, estableciendo conclusiones de futuro.

    This paper describes the importance in Spain of the fisheries sector. It also describes the important changes and its evolution to adapt itself to the common fisheries policy, or "Blue Policy", from the first of January 1986. It also puts forward the changes in international Law of the Sea with the expansion of the fishing zone towards the 200 miles limit, which has given rise to drastic: changes in the national and international fisheries policy. Lastly, the state of the resources at a nationaland wordwide levels is outlined, and the state of thefisheries sector in Spain over the last years is analysed, establishing some conclusions regarding the future.
