Resumen de Hábitat y vulnerabilidad. El papel de la violencia: un estudio de caso, comuna 11 de Dosquebradas (Colombia)

  El estudio de la relación del ser humano con su entorno, los códigos y símbolos que les imprime a las actividades que desarrolla, la forma cómo habita un espacio y las relaciones sociales que teje a partir de su idiosincrasia, son temáticas que despiertan el interés de los investigadores en pro de interpretar las azarosas situaciones de un mundo complejo. El presente artículo intenta abordar una problemática de interpretación y adaptación al territorio a partir de las relaciones existentes entre el hábitat, la vulnerabilidad y la violencia, reconociendo a esta última como hecho social que se puede analizar desde los estudios de vulnerabilidad, en donde se toma —a la violencia— como una amenaza a la cual es vulnerable una población, que entre otras cosas, habita un espacio geográfi co particular.

  The study of the relationship between human beings and their environment, the codes and symbols that they print on the activities they carry out, the way they inhabit space, and the social relationships they weave within their idiosyncrasies, are topics that interest researchers who aim to interpret the hazardous situations faced by human beings in a complex world. This article attempts to address the problem of interpretation and adaptation to the territory, considering for that purpose the relationship between habitat, vulnerability and violence, and recognizing the latter as a social fact that can be analyzed from vulnerability studies. Where violence is thought of as a threat to a vulnerable population that, among other things, inhabits a particular geographical area.
