En este artículo queremos sacar del olvido una pieza dramática del escritor escurialense Antonio Gil de Zárate, titulada Cecilia la Cieguecita. Incardinada en el teatro sentimental, esta obra pone ante nosotros un personaje, Cecilia, que, por su caracterización, logra despertar nuestras emociones más profundas y, con ello, nos hace ver hasta qué punto una obra teatral puede removernos interiormente.

In this article we want to take from the oblivion a dramatic piece by the writer Antonio Gil de Zárate, entitled Cecilia la Cieguecita. Incardinated in the sentimental theater, this work puts before us a character, Cecilia, who, by its characterization, manages to awaken our deepest emotions and, with it, makes us see to what extent a theatrical work can remove us internally.
