Luis de Horna es uno de los ilustradores españoles más importantes y galardonados de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Poseedor del Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil (Ilustración) en 1981, atesora innumerables galardones nacionales e internacionales y ha protagonizado abundantes exposiciones individuales y colectivas. Su trabajo, más allá de este campo, abarca otras disciplinas como el grabado o la pintura y su iconografía, vertebrada por su amor por la naturaleza, el cosmos, el hombre y sus capacidades (literatura, música o cine), concentra color vibrante, espacio bidimensional y línea vital y pasión. Profundo creyente y practicante, gran parte de su sello crativo y existencial procedde de su espiritualidad y honda experiencia cristiana, a la cual responde desde lo artístico con creaciones que se analizan en este ensayo.

Luis de Horna is one of the most important and award -winning Spahish illustrators of the 20th century second-half. He won the National Prize for Children's Literature (Illustration) in 1981, holds countless national and international awards and has starred in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His work, beyond this field, encompasses other disciplines such as engraving or painting and his iconography, vertebrated for his love of nature, cosmos, men and their capacities (literature, music or cinema), concentrates vibrant color, two-dimensional space and marked line to express the author's defense of optimism, vital joy and passion. Profound believer, much of his artistic and existential mark comes from his spirituality and deep Christian experience, to wich he responds through that are analyzed in this essay.
