    El presente trabajo aborda, como su título indica, la regulación histórica de la autonomía local. Esta regulación contiene los diversos institutos que la han conformado. Entre ellos destacan muy especialmnte las Ordenanzas Municipales, que constituyen, sin duda, el basamento principal del derecho vigente en los siglos que precedieron al periodo constitucional iniciado en la Constitución de Cádiz de 1808. También se analizan las diversas influencias y evolución de este derecho municipal, así como las diversas fuentes que lo han originado, de las que destaca el "Liber Iudiciorum", a partir del siglo X, para terminar con las Ordenanzas del periodo constitucional mencionado y con unas conclusiones sobre su influencia y relevancia.

    As the title indicates, the present work tackles the historical regulation of local autonomy. This regulation comprises the various institutions involved in its formation. Among them, the Muncipal Ordinances are especially relevant, as the undoubtedly constitute the main foundations of the legal system in the centuries preceding the constitutional period that started with the Cadiz Constitution in 1808. The author also analyses the various influences and the evolution of municipal legislation, as well as and the different sources that it originates from, notably the "Liber Iudiciorum", from the tenth century onwards, finishing with the Ordinances of the above mentioned constitutional period and with conclusions regarding its influence and relevance
