Resumen de Audiovisuales en el Museo Arqueológico Nacional: estrategias expositivas y educativas

  Este artículo analiza los audiovisuales del Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN) que, desde la remodelación inaugurada en 2014, se han convertido en piezas claves de su exposición permanente y del discurso público del museo. Estudiaremos, por una parte, cómo los audiovisuales organizan y cohesionan los objetos y las salas en la nueva propuesta museográfica, otorgando un sentido unitario a las distintas áreas temáticas que estructuran la exposición permanente. Por otro lado, analizaremos la forma en que los audiovisuales del MAN presentan en un contexto más amplio la colección y la propia institución museística, sirviéndose de diferentes tecnologías y soportes, contribuyendo a la tarea divulgativa del museo y a su visibilización. En definitiva, estudiaremos las piezas audiovisuales del MAN y su función educativa en dos direcciones: atendiendo a sus características formales en conexión con el discurso general del museo y a su efectividad en la tarea de acercar al visitante a la colección

  This article analyses the audiovisual pieces of the National Archaeological Museum of Spain (MAN) considering that these complementary materials have become central in its permanent exhibition. Its current discourse was released in 2014 after a comprehensive renovation of the building and the museographic proposal. In this renewed design, the audiovisuals of the MAN organize and bring the pieces and galleries together articulating them into the permanent exhibition. Audiovisuals are as well valuable in the communication and visibilization purposes of the museum. In this sense, the MAN shows its collection and itself as an institution throughout different technologies and media that will be also analysed in this article. In the end, this work studies the audiovisuals of the MAN and its educational labour considering two bases: their characteristics in relation to the general museum discourse and its efficiency in approaching visitors to the collection
