    This article aims to analyze the concept of religion in Slavoj Žižek's work in order to understand how the theme of religion relates to the broad lines of the Slovene thinker.

    For this purpose this project begins with a small reflection on the concept of religion from the broader point of view giving general characteristics of what characterizes the religion from the philosophical point of view and later focuses on characterizing in general lines the religious problem in the Slovene thinker Problematizing some reflections that Žižek poses for the religion in the contemporaneity.

    O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar o conceito de religião na obra de Slavoj Žižek de forma a compreender como que o tema da religião se relaciona com as grandes linhas do pensador esloveno. Para tal objetivo este projeto se inicia com uma pequena reflexão sobre o conceito de religião do ponto de vista mais lato dando características gerais do que caracteriza a religião do ponto de vista filosófico e posteriormente se concentra em caracterizar em linhas gerais o problema religioso no pensador esloveno problematizando algumas reflexões que Žižek coloca para a religião na contemporaneidade.Palavras-chave: Religião, Deus, Materialismo, Cristo.
