Resumen de Caracterización de superficies maquinadas por medio de parámetros de rugosidad

Francisco Eugenio López Guerrero, Raúl Cavazos Flores, Mario Delgado Acosta

  • The proper functioning of a machined part depends on the quality of its surface. The term “surface quality’’ includes not only the dimensional values of the surface, but also material properties such as hardness and metallurgical structure1 as well as optical and esthetic characteristics. The dimensional quality is related with the surface irregularities and is known as the “roughness surface”. The importance of the roughness of the final finish has been well appreciated.

This work proposes a method based on the decomposition of the roughness in terms of the frequency analysis in order to identify the tool marks on a machined surface. As result, the relationship between the feed rate and roughness is clarified.
